Abstract

The sweetness of this literary chronicle points to the solitary condition and lacking of affectional support of an old lady with slow movements and reflexes, which, occasionally, gets emotionally bitter with memories of old times of her life, mainly caused by old portraits of her presently absent family. Nevertheless, she still worries about the other fellow wellbeing, specially concerning to the expressions of love and joy, visualized on the face of a child. That reminds us of Bachelard, the poet-philosopher, when he stated that we all keep “a permanent state of childhood” no matter which phase of life we are living.
