| Resumo: | Profundamente marcado por luchas populares que reivindican su acceso a los derechos sociales fundamentales, entre ellos, el derecho a la educación, el siçlo XX en América Latina es, también, el siglo de las Organizaciones No Gobernamentales y sus luchas, junto a los gobiernos locales para garantizar que los sectores populares se constituyan como sujetos políticos organizados y conscientes. Conceptualmente, ellas comparten las proposiciones de una lucha más amplia que busca transformar la sociedad, haciéndo la más justa y colectivamente responsable. La CEAAL ocupa un lugar de destaque en el la historia de la educación popular latinoamericana, una vez que reuniendo más de 195 ONG's actuantes en los más diversos sectores sociales del Continente, ha jugado un papel decisivo para trazar los rumbos que la educación popular latinoamericana tomará en los comienzos del siglo. |
| Abstract: | Deeply marked by popular struggles claiming their access to the essential social rights, among them, the right to education, the 20th century in Latin America is also the century of the Non-Governmental Organizations and its struggles to assure that the popular sectors constitute themselves as conscious and organized political subjects. Conceptually, they share the proposition of a wider struggle which seeks to transform society by making it fairer and collectively responsible. The CEAAL occupies an important placein the history of Latin American Popular Education since it brings together more than 195 NGO's from different areas in the Continent. They have played a very important part to design the routes Latin American popular education will take in the beginnings of the 21st century. |
