Título: A leitura do feminino em Anne de Green Gables e Anne com e
Autor(es): Marques, Jéssica Souza Ferreira
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the retextualization of the feminine in Anne of Green Gables
(2019) in the first season of the series Anne with an E (2017). This book was written by Lucy
Maud Montgomery and published for the first time in 1908 in Canada, the choosen edition for
was published in Brazil in 2019 and covers the story of the character Anne Shirley and her
experiences. The series titled Anne with an E is an intersemiotic adaptation created by Canadian
Moira Walley-Beckett and made available on the Netflix streaming platform. The character
Anne Shirley provides readers and viewers with messages of change, reflection and action; So,
what is the interpretation of the feminine in the book and in the television series? The
methodology used was the qualitative analysis of objects through bibliographical research,
using the following theories: Tradução Intersemiótica (Plaza, 2010); Teoria da Adaptação
(Hutcheon, 2013); Intermidialidade (Clüver, 2011); Estudos femininos (Hooks, 2022);
Memória (Bosi, 2022) e (Elias, 1998). It is fundamental to organize the analysis into subtopics:
Society, Education and Culture, highlighting the fictional city of Avonlea as the focus. The
raised questions are: How are women represented in society? What is the perspective regarding
female education? What are the social behaviors presented in the corpus? The results obtained
were: the importance of intersemiotic translation in establishing links between cultures,
promoting the dissemination of information, ideologies, stories. In addition to introducing the
presentation of the main character as a vanguard in her socio-historical context. As per
conclusion, it is necessary to investigate and translate Montgomery's writings in Brazil.

Título: Estudos dos elementos cinematográfico-videográficos na tradução audiovisual para a Libras
Autor(es): Barros, Gracy Kelly Amaral
Abstract: This dissertation is a general object analyzed as aesthetic relationships between the elements
of cinematographic-videographic language (LCV) and the audiovisual translation and
interpretation for Libraries (TIALS) of four audiovisual performances of the poem genre
presented at the Mostra Literatura Paraná (2021). Having interdisciplinary theoreticalmethodological support between Sign Language Translation Studies (Nascimento, Nogueira,
2019; Nascimento, Fornari, Segala, 2019; Medeiros, Fernandes, 2020; Nascimento, 2021;
Medeiros, 2018; 2021), studies Cinematographic Language (Martin; 2013; Mascelli, 2010;
Aumont et al, 2012) and Videographic Language (Dubois, 2004). To visualize the proposed
object, the selected videos will contain the following VCL elements analyzed descriptively:
layout of the courts; aesthetic movement between translators and camera(s); signal angles;
framing; dress and lighting. The Analyzes justify the Aesthetic Elements of the LCV Based
on the Theoretical Reference of the Cinematographic-Videographic Field and Compare with
the Brazilian Regulatory Standard (NBR) of the Brazilian Association of Standards and
Techniques (ABNT) nº 15290/05 Accessible Visuals of the Ministry of Communications
(Naves et al., 2016). However, we must note that the elements of the VCL can be used
aesthetically by TIALS where we have the opportunity to experience artistic creations in a
visual and innovative way, without including audiovisual material, without translating verbal
text. In this way, this dissertation seeks to contribute to the work of translators, producers of
cultural projects, audiovisual producers and editors, presenting TIALS as an aesthetic,
dialogical process integrated into the LCV, sending a discussion to complement the TIALS
guidelines especially in artistic contexts.

Título: As crônicas de Nárnia, da literatura ao cinema: uma investigação intersemiótica
Autor(es): Brito, Talita Ferreira de Souza
Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the intersemiotic relationships between C. S. Lewis's book
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, first published in 1950, and
the homonymous film released in 2005 and directed by Andrew Adamson. The Chronicles of
Narnia comprise seven books that narrate the existence of a fantastic world. The Lion, the
Witch and the Wardrobe, the first written and published chronicle, tells the story of how the
four Pevensie siblings, the main characters, discovered this world inhabited by mythological
creatures and talking animals. Despite being a work aimed at a children young people, some
themes within the literary work prove to be complex for the aforementioned age group.
Within this context, the objective of this study was to analyze how these same themes were
reconstructed in the screen adaptation, identifying the strategies employed to make them
suitable for the new format and audience, as well as analyze the results achieved by these
choices. In addition to drawing from Translation Studies, particularly highlighting the work of
Christiane Nord (2016), and Intersemiotic Translation, with emphasis on Júlio Plaza (2003),
the research sought other paths of investigation by combining concepts from Semiotics and
Adaptation Studies, in the light of authors such as Charles Sander Peirce (2005) and Deborah
Cartmell (2012), respectively. Film language was another explored area, especially through
the contributions of Bordwell and Thompson (2014), and, finally, the phenomena of
intertextuality and hypertextuality were brought up through the definitions proposed by
Gerárd Genette (2010).

Título: A retradução d’O Hobbit de J. R. R. Tolkien no Brasil: contexto, texto e paratexto

Abstract: This dissertation aims to carry out a critical analysis of the retranslation of J. R. R. Tolkien in
Brazil. The British author has had a huge influence on modern fantasy literature, especially in
North American and European productions, through his works such as The Lord of the Rings
(1954-55) and The Hobbit (1937). This is due, among other reasons, to the fact that Tolkien
was concerned with creating a secondary world as complex as our real, primary world, with its
own geography, history, languages, and cultures. Therefore, in order to make it possible to
analyze his retranslations in Brazil, it is necessary to define a corpus. For this research, the
corpus will consist of The Hobbit (1937) and its retranslation into Brazilian Portuguese, O
Hobbit (2019a) by Lopes, as the base material. To achieve this objective, the Retranslation
Hypothesis, attributed to the French philosopher Antoine Berman (2017), is explored. In
addition, contemporary contributions to the Bermanian retranslation hypothesis are analyzed,
which bring to light socio-historical aspects, the influence of the market on retranslation and
the influence of other editorial agents such as reviewers, editors, and censors. These
contributions are exemplified here by Albachten and Gürçağlar (2018), Cadera and Walsh
(2017), Van Poucke and Gallego (2019) and Paloposki and Koskinen (2004). The paratexts
present in this retranslation are also investigated, whether they are paratexts derived from the
translated source text or commissioned for this edition of the work. This dissertation uses
Genette's paratextual theory, complementing it with the specific theories on the paratext of
translations, through the research of Torres (2011), Cardellino (2015) and Gürçağlar (2011).
Finally, the theoretical basis of the research is also grounded on studies on the life and work of
J. R. R. Tolkien, such as the research carried out by Scull and Hammond (2017), Rateliff (2011)
and Carpenter (2018).
